Congratulations

Congratulations to Deborah Armentrout and Jack Franklin of Morro Bay on their marriage June 7, 2008 at the Inn at Morro Bay.  Not only was Deborah knock down drop dead georgeous, (so was Jack) she also
was the first Wedding Gallery Guest to give us the challenge we've been waiting for...planning a wedding in 12 (yes, TWELVE) days!!!  We had a great time, everything came out beautiful!

Embassy Suites & SLO Youth Symphony

Today the Embassy suites hosted their annual SLO Youth Symphony fundrasier- brunch.  There were over 150 guests who dined and wined by ten of the most wonderful chefs in SLO county.  Each Chef, (or restaurant) presented a food station.  Wedding Gallery of San Luis Obispo, donated a simply springy backdrop on the stage for six of the talented youths to play on.  This was our first year being a part of this event, and originally we had just donated four floral enter pieces.  But as luck would bring the winds of change we were need in other areas, so we volunteered two large floral spray arrangements a top some Grecian columns.  Green and yellow sparkley tulle was generously layered over the columns, and under the flowers to give a focal point to the stage and lend a bit of atmosphere to the musicians.

It was an honor to be invited to help support such talented local musicians.  I marveled at their dedication and expertise to their art.  I'm wondering if I can download some of their work onto my iPod.

Still Recovering...

Still recovering from the wedding fair on Sunday at Madonna Inn.  Our booth was so beautiful.
We had HUGE tree branchs that were like 16 feet tall!  The day before my designer Francisco called in a favor and had his gardener friend, Hector up in the tree out in front of my shop cutting down huge branches. I was runnig all over SLO town buying flowers, oasis, silks, cutting greens, picking up arrangements...
Francisco is "Crazzy for Design."  (You have to kind of slide your "z" into "s" when you say that-then you sound just like him."  He used every ounce of his amazing talent on this one.  It looked incredible!
We had Aurora Denny in the middle of the whole scene playing beautiful harp!
It looked like a scene out of Disneyland!  Walt would've definitely approved!
Francisco is the event designer for the stars- he comes from Santa Barbara, where the rich party pretty.
He's ready to take his talent on the road and get some big business in beauty.

Pre-Season Gala Feb 28

 

We kicked off the 2008 Wedding Season with a beautiful Gala event that we planned as a team and enjoyed as a family. We rolled out the red carpet to welcome the guests and treat them like superstars. Food was provided by Bayou House, and Chocolate Truffles were passed out by Patty Mena herself. Eagle Castle was on hand providing wine tasting in five varietals. Beer Garden had a wonderfully authentic set-up with high quality beers from Germany and Belgium served in high style for the grooms to enjoy while they listened to Chuck Hiigel's informative 'gushing' on the beer and its origins. In order to experience the difference between bridal make-up vs. their own, makeovers were provided for guests. Venue Soiree a BLAST

Fresh Flowers on Chivari Chairs provided by Harbor Floral.  Harbor Floral now rents these chairs as well as embellishes them with textural floral mixes.

Flowers and Wine flowed.
Everyone enjoyed the flavorful wines provided by
Jan Kris Winery. The wines dress up any meal, never let you down, and are a comfortable gift for any occasion. With a multitude of blends to choose from, they pair well with any meal and suit any palette.
